The grant will support the 2019 camp where underserved girls between 4th and 8th grade will explore STEM careers and interact with female role models in the field.
This is the third consecutive year that we have worked with the Discovery Center to put on this popular camp. By holding a girls-only camp, the Discovery Center of Idaho creates a relaxed, non-judgmental environment for girls to focus on learning the foundation of coding and empower them to pursue STEM careers. They also plan to provide learning geared toward computer science in today’s dynamic tech world.
Ensuring girls have positive support, resources and mentors to pursue careers in STEM continues to be an AT&T focal point and passion — Idaho’s technological future will depend on it.
