On Feb. 24, AT&T officially launched the Brackets For Good USA, competitive giving tournament. Through this new collaboration, we are using the power of our network to help nonprofits across the country grow with an innovative new approach to awareness, fundraising and participation.
Every March, Indianapolis-based, non-profit Brackets For Good hosts online, bracket-style fundraising tournaments for nonprofits in several cities across the U.S. Participating organizations rally donors to out-fundraise their similarly-resourced opponents, with the organizations raising the most money advancing to the next round.
Now, through the support of AT&T, Brackets For Good is launching its first nationwide tournament. This unique awareness and fundraising opportunity — running concurrent to the local tournaments — focuses larger, regional and national nonprofit charitable organizations spread across the country.
On Feb. 24, 64 nonprofits began competing online in the national fundraising tournament. The field will narrow each week through the tournament's end on March 31. In addition to raising awareness and funds, the organization that wins the tournament will receive an additional $100,000 contribution from AT&T.
