Earlier this month, AT&T teamed up with City Year Denver to transform Cheltenham Elementary — a Denver Public School — into a more vibrant and engaging learning environment where students can truly thrive. More than 200 AT&T employee volunteers painted murals, built outdoor learning spaces and beautified the school grounds. Some of the kids were on work patrol as well.
“The steward helps out in their community and my hope is, whether it is in this building or another building, when they are adults, they will look back on this and think, ‘I was a part of making a change’,” said Principal Felice Manzanares.
