Colorado Students Join the AT&T HACEMOS Employee Group During Technology Day, with visit from Ryan Spilborghs from ROOT SPORTS

AT&T Employee Resource Group HACEMOS hosted the 19th Annual National Technology Day. Students learned about possibilities in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Students participated in hands-on workshops on cybersecurity, connected cars and a virtual simulator on the dangers of distracted driving.

Colorado Rockies player and current ROOT SPORTS broadcaster, Ryan Spilborghs, met with students and shared his success story of going from Major League Baseball to on-air talent working for ROOT SPORTS, the television home of the Colorado Rockies. ROOT SPORTS is owned and operated by AT&T Sports Networks.

Around 40 students from three Denver high schools participated. The students joined 3000 students from 35 different cities across the U.S. and in Mexico to learn about opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

The simultaneous multi-city, and now multi-country, event brings together Latino AT&T employees and students. The event aims to encourage, inspire and share knowledge about STEM opportunities with students.
