Nearly 20 rural Cass County students at Northern Cass will join together to participate in this year’s BEST (“Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology”) Robotics competition game with the theme, “Off the Grid,” working toward the midwestern hub competition in Brookings, SD and the Regional competition in Denver this late fall.
“At AT&T, we love to encourage students in science, coding and technology,” said Cheryl Riley, president, AT&T Northern Plains. “This competition is fostering interest not only in coding, robotics and STEM, but also marketing and teamwork. I have no doubt the Northern Cass Robotics Team will bring their A-game to the field this year.”
Northern Cass’s Robotics Team hosted an open house for community members in September to showcase the first stages of their engineering design process for both their robot and their BEST Award approach.
