L.J. Godfrey

Interim President – AT&T Wyoming  
L.J. Godfrey is serving as the interim state president for Wyoming. In his role for Wyoming, Mr. Godfrey supports state external affairs efforts to track and advocate for legislative and regulatory policies in Wyoming. In L.J.’s permanent role, he serves as the Vice President, National and Legislative Affairs for AT&T.

L.J. Godfrey is serving as the interim state president of Wyoming. In his role, Mr. Godfrey supports state external affairs efforts to track and advocate for legislative and regulatory policies in Wyoming. L.J. has 30 years of government affairs experience and has been with AT&T for 20 of those years in various capacities. During this time, he led AT&T’s External & Legislative Affairs team for the West region. Under his leadership, his team advocated for policies to help improve the public policy environment for today’s technology and AT&T’s ability to build out its network. L.J.’s current role also includes managing national special projects that involve coordination across all 50 states.

In LJ’s permanent role, he serves as the Vice President, National and Legislative Affairs for AT&T. He works across the 50 states that help us better serve AT&T’s millions of U.S. customers with video, broadband and voice services. L.J. also leads AT&T’s engagement with state-focused associations like the National Governors Association and the National Conference of State Legislators.

A member of the Utah Bar, L.J. received his J.D. from Brigham Young University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Utah State University. He is a resident and native of northern Utah. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking and skiing with his family and two Australian shepherds.
